Getting Started
Designed to serve facilities as an educational tool, IAC MRI accreditation is made up of two crucial steps:
- Review of the IAC Standards. Firstly, facilities conduct a self-evaluation by reviewing the IAC Standards & Guidelines for MRI Accreditation. Standards are the minimum requirements to which an accredited facility is accountable. View the Standards
- Completion of the Online Application & Submission of Case Studies. Secondly, facilities utilize IAC Online Accreditation to complete and submit their application. Completion of the application requires detailed information on all aspects of facility operation as well as the submission of actual case studies for review. Review the requirements in the Accreditation Checklist
Also, applicant facilities are also encouraged to view the most recent recorded webcast or an upcoming live webinar presentation of IAC MRI: Accreditation Simplified.
Access IAC Online Accreditation
The IAC Online Accreditation application process is similar for both first-time applicants as well as those applying for reaccreditation. All applicant facilities must utilize the Online Accreditation application to prepare and submit their applications to the IAC. This application format is a repository for accreditation data, allowing facility personnel to access previously submitted information. Accredited facilities may make updates any time during the three-year cycle once accreditation.
Additionally, the application also has a QuickFill feature which retains previous application data (answers and attachments) and copies the information into your reaccreditation application.
