Call for Participant Facilities to Help Strengthen the Program
The Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) is proud to announce a new accreditation program for Vascular Interventional. In collaboration with multidisciplinary physician groups and allied health professionals who participate as sponsoring organizations, quality and safety standards have been developed with the goal to improve patient outcomes for facilities performing vascular interventional procedures.
Joining the existing Vein Center accreditation for Superficial Venous Treatment and Management, the following areas are now part of the IAC Vascular Interventional accreditation program:
Waived Application Fees for Facilities Applying by March 31, 2023
Facilities that apply for accreditation in any new procedural area within the Vascular Interventional accreditation program by March 31, 2023 and agree to participate in a limited research study will receive waived application fees for the first accreditation cycle. To strengthen the program, IAC is seeking a broad response to enable the collection of pre- and post-accreditation data relative to the impact of accreditation on patient care.
Facilities interested in applying for the new areas of Vascular Interventional accreditation must complete the brief interest form below. After submitting the form, facilities will be contacted with details to participate in a research study with instructions on completing the vascular interventional application to meet the March 31, 2023 deadline.
About IAC Vascular Interventional
In releasing new programs for Vascular Interventional accreditation, IAC continues its commitment to quality by offering a program that balances the changing needs of both the vascular interventional community and the general public by influencing the quality of patient care provided.
Applicable IAC Standards & Guidelines for each new program were released on June 1, 2022 and are published on the IAC website at www.intersocietal.org/programs/vascular-interventional/standards.
“Vein Centers have embraced the ability to demonstrate their commitment to quality through our superficial Vein Center program since 2013, making the decision to offer Vascular Interventional accreditation an easy one. It’s no small accomplishment to demonstrate that your practice meets the kind of current, multidisciplinary, national standards established by the IAC for vascular interventions. Providers want to know if they’re doing appropriate, high-quality work – and if they are, they want everyone else to know it.” – Thom Rooke, MD, RVT, IAC Vein Center President
