Please Complete a Brief Survey on AI Intelligence
Acknowledging the ongoing, rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine, the IAC Board of Directors established an AI Task Force in 2024. Developed through the collective expertise of the task force, a guidance document was created. The document, approved by both the IAC Board of Directors and each division board, was published April 1, 2025, as an addendum to each set of IAC Standards. The guidance document serves as a recommendation for IAC-accredited facilities utilizing AI technology.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Survey
You are invited to complete a brief, anonymous survey about your facility’s current use of AI in the clinical setting. Your responses will help the IAC identify trends across different modalities, settings and other key factors.
“IAC’s commitment to promoting safe and equitable patient care is demonstrated through its AI initiative. As cutting-edge AI innovations continue to evolve, IAC will strive to enhance its guidance for the clinical setting.”
Mary Lally, MS, CAE
IAC CEO
“IAC recognizes that AI is becoming an integral component of health care, and that patients are increasingly expressing concern about whether AI is being used safely in their care. It is important to note that this is a guidance document only, not a required Standard. Hence, there is no required action for IAC-accredited facilities. IAC hopes this guidance document will be helpful to all stakeholders and we welcome your input throughout what is sure to be ongoing evolution.”
Robert Pizzutiello, MS, FAAPM, FACR, FACMP
Chair of the IAC Artificial Intelligence Task Force
Throughout 2025, the AI Task Force will continue to explore the effects of AI in medicine.
