IAC will present a live webinar (followed by a Q&A session) entitled Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders: How Can We Reduce the Impact? This webinar is a joint presentation of IAC and the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS).
This webinar will provide a history of WRMSD and an overview of injuries that continue to plague sonographers. Correct ergonomics principles will be reviewed including scanning techniques, room set up, and scheduling. Personal and administrative controls will be described, and the importance of collaboration in setting guidelines focused on injury reduction will be discussed.
This webinar is designed to:
- Discuss the impact of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSD)
- Implement a collaborative approach to define mitigation strategies focused on reducing WRMSD
- Describe ergonomic principles that reduce the physical and cognitive load
