IAC will present a complimentary live webinar (followed by a Q&A session) entitled Venous Reflux Ultrasound: Practical Tips for Accurate Diagnosis.
This webinar reviews the role of ultrasound in the evaluation of venous reflux associated with chronic venous insufficiency. Emphasis will be placed on proper patient positioning, examination techniques, and hemodynamic assessment necessary to accurately identify and document reflux in the superficial and deep venous systems. Practical scanning tips, common pitfalls, and strategies for improving diagnostic accuracy will be discussed to help sonographers perform comprehensive and reproducible venous reflux examinations consistent with current practice standards.
This webinar is designed to:
- describe the hemodynamic principles of venous reflux and their relevance in lower extremity venous ultrasound evaluation;
- identify key venous anatomy and common reflux patterns involved in chronic venous insufficiency;
- demonstrate proper patient positioning, probe placement, and augmentation techniques used to accurately assess venous reflux;
- recognize common technical pitfalls that may lead to false-positive or false-negative reflux findings; and
- apply practical scanning tips to improve diagnostic accuracy when evaluating superficial and deep venous systems.
Participation in this IAC webinar is voluntary. In addition, registered participants will receive 1.0 SVU CME credit. Please Note: To be eligible to receive the credit, participants must: 1) individually register, 2) log in to attend the live event, and 3) complete the post-webinar survey.
