- READ AND REVIEW THE IAC STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES FOR NUCLEAR/PET ACCREDITATION
Facilities are encouraged to review and ensure compliance with the IAC Standards and Guidelines for Nuclear/PET Accreditation prior to beginning the application process.

There are many helpful tools throughout the Nuclear/PET website (i.e., sample documents, OnDemand webcasts, FAQs, CME resources and links and references) to assist you through the application process.
- PERFORM A THOROUGH FACILITY SELF ASSESSMENT
Prior to completing the application, facilities are encouraged to first identify and correct potential problems; when necessary revising protocols and Quality Improvement (QI) programs to be in compliance with the Standards
- IAC ACCREDITATION AGREEMENT
Applications submitted to the IAC MUST be accompanied by a current, completed IAC Accreditation Agreement. To download the Agreement and get complete instructions, visit the Legal>Agreement section of the IAC website»
- GATHER TOGETHER NECESSARY INFORMATION
Be sure to prepare all of the items you will need to submit with your application including but not limited to: facility overview, procedure volumes, training/experience pathways for staff, staff certificate/credential information, CME information for all staff members, etc.
- COMPILE NECESSARY POLICIES AND/OR PROTOCOLS

- CASE STUDIES AND FINAL REPORTS
