Applications Can Be Submitted at Any Time Throughout the Year
To maintain uninterrupted accreditation status, the IAC recommends that accredited facilities submit their applications for reaccreditation at least three months prior to the expiration date.
Applicant facilities may submit their applications at any time. However, in order to be processed in upcoming month, the IAC recommends that facilities submit their application by the first of the month and case studies should be received in the IAC office no later than the 5th of the month. Materials received after those dates will be processed with the next month’s deadline. Processing the application will move it forward through the review process and an accreditation decision will generally be rendered within 12 weeks of submission.
The case studies, QI documentation, IAC Accreditation Agreement, attestations,
and fee (if paid by check) must be received in the IAC office no later than 5 days* following
the online submission. Application submissions with the corresponding application materials
that arrive late or are incomplete will be processed with the subsequent submission group.
*Expedited submissions per the terms and conditions (Page 5 of the IAC Policies and Procedures) must be received in the IAC office no later than the first business day of the submission month.
